There are hundreds to choose from and based on what they say about themselves they all seem to offer the same stuff and be pretty wonderful. It could be hard to get down to just 3 for a pitch and even then all 3 might end up being useless.

And when you have chosen a new company, you won't really know how good they are until they have completed your project. If they turn out not to be any good you are stuffed. Your time-scale will most likely be blown and perhaps your reputation with your colleagues will be in shreds.

We have had the same experience as learning and development managers and directors. That's one of the reasons why we set up Epiphanies LLP: to be the type of supplier we wish we could have found when we were spending the HR budget.
